چکیده

There is consensus that activation within distributed functional brain networks underlies human thought. The impact of this limited, however, by a gap exists between data-driven correlational analyses specify where activity localized using magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and neural process accounts how unfolds through time to give rise behavior. Here, we show an integrative cognitive neuroscience approach may bridge gap. In exemplary study visual working memory, use multilevel Bayesian statistics demonstrate dynamic model simultaneously explains behavioral data predicts patterns activity, outperforming standard analytic approaches fMRI. performance on both correct trials incorrect errors in change detection emerge from fluctuations amplified interaction. Critically, predictions the run counter theories origin detection. Results reveal predicted regions dorsal attention network have been focus much debate. model-based analysis suggests key areas such as intraparietal sulcus play central role rather than memory maintenance, previous interpretations fMRI studies. More generally, used here establishes framework for directly testing function combined power data. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2021 APA, all rights reserved).

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

A dynamic neural field model of visual working memory and change detection.

Efficient visually guided behavior depends on the ability to form, retain, and compare visual representations for objects that may be separated in space and time. This ability relies on a short-term form of memory known as visual working memory. Although a considerable body of research has begun to shed light on the neurocognitive systems subserving this form of memory, few theories have addres...

Effectiveness of working memory intervention in behavior inhibition and visual working memory of children with Attention Deficit/ impulsive subtype Disorder (ADHD-I)

The aim of the current research study was to determine the effectiveness of working memory intervention on behavioral inhibition and visual working memory in children with symptoms of attention-deficit/impulsivity disorder in Selseleh city. The method was a quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population consisted of all boy students of 8-12 years o...

A neural model of retrospective attention in visual working memory

An informative cue that directs attention to one of several items in working memory improves subsequent recall of that item. Here we examine the mechanism of this retro-cue effect using a model of short-term memory based on neural population coding. Our model describes recalled feature values as the output of an optimal decoding of spikes generated by a tuned population of neurons. This neural ...
